










More than 30 men demonstrated their support for the women's Reclaim the Night march in Cambridge on 8th May by holding a vigil , and joining with the women in Kings College Chapel to haer the post event rally speeches and songs.
WE had leaflets to give out to paasers by saying Why men are supporting the women's Reclaim the Night event, and more than one passer by joined the men's event . Another man stopping to ask if I had £1 for a cup of tea tnhen went on to talk about when he hid under the bed while his mother suffered a violent attack from his father.
Many men there pledged support , and we will be expanding White Ribbon activities in Cambridge in the future and holding an even bigger support event in Cambridge next year.
COUNCIL AWARDED WHITE RIBBON PARTNERSHIP AWARD

Cheshire West and Chester Council has been awarded the nationally recognised White Ribbon Partnership Award from the White Ribbon Campaign UK for its multi-agency partnership approach to tackling domestic abuse.
Working in partnership with public, private, community, voluntary and faith sectors the award was granted to the authority’s Cheshire West Together project for its approach to increasing awareness of domestic abuse and support to families affected by domestic abuse.
