White Ribbon Campaign staff bring home 10 Oscars Calderdale Voluntary Action Council organised the Calderdale Oscars ceremony on 3rd June, and WRC came home with 10 Oscars for the people who volunteer with us. We nominated 10 active volunteers as people who all deserved recognition for the amount of time we put in to developing the campaign. Last year we only had 4 volunteers to nominate, so you can tell how much more capacity we have now for working to end violence against women. Mayor of Calderdale Cllr Ann McAllister said "I came to your Gala dinner last year and really enjoyed it. I think you do really important work and I'll be back this year at your fundraising event now that I'm Mayor." We are very proud of what we achieve with no public money provided for our running costs, so please help us do more by joining in, or even better helping do some fundraising with us .
