In July’s edition of Cosmopolitan magazine (available from 10th June), Women’s Aid is launching its ‘Real Man’ campaign encouraging men to become part of the solution to ending violence against women. The campaign, created by leading communications agency Grey London, features a range of images featuring Women’s Aid Ambassador Will Young, Duncan Bannatyne OBE, actor Ricky Whittle, TV presenter Gethin Jones, Huey Morgan from the Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Harlequins and England rugby Internationals Danny Care and Ugo Monye. The campaign also features Midsomer Murders’ actor John Nettles, Soccer AM presenter Max Rushden, chef Tom Aikens, actor Max Beesley and Magic FM’s Neil Fox. As part of the campaign the ‘Real Men’ pose with props to challenge the stereotype of what a ‘Real Man’ is – with the message that Real Men aren’t violent or abusive towards women. Let us see if any of these men are willing to become ambassadors for White Ribbon Campaign.
