Still waiting for Government Violence against Women Strategy

Coalition has removed existing strategy but not replaced it The very impressive Governemtn wide strategy "Together we can end Violecne against WOmen and Girls" has been rempved fropm the Home office website . This document involved consultation with thousands from the Anti VAW sector and was much more than a LAbour government strategy. To have removed it without replacing it with any published strategy risks throwing the momentum of work against viuolence into confusion, and contradicts what both coalition parties had said about the importance of this work in their manifestos.  White Ribbon Campaign will be working  with partner  womesn organsaitions and challenging Government departments and politicians until their commitment to this work is made evident.
