Salary £21,500-£23,500 + pension contributions.
Two year fixed contract to October 2013 with the possibility of an extension.
35 hours per week.
White Ribbon Campaign UK is the leading organisation working to engage men and boys to prevent violence against women (VAW). Due to the success of the campaign the post of General Manager has been created to help consolidate and expand the innovative work. The person appointed will drive the organisational development and represent White Ribbon Campaign nationally. The post is based in Calderdale in West Yorkshire.
This job will require a range of experience including:
Experience in business management, financial oversight, supervision, evaluation
Knowledge of Violence against Women sector
Effective problem solving and strategic planning skills
Demonstrated ability to work with/supervise a team of staff or volunteers
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communications skills, including IT literacy
Flexible working may be possible. 30 days annual leave.

Cheshire West and Chester Council has been awarded the nationally recognised White Ribbon Partnership Award from the White Ribbon Campaign UK for its multi-agency partnership approach to tackling domestic abuse.
Working in partnership with public, private, community, voluntary and faith sectors the award was granted to the authority’s Cheshire West Together project for its approach to increasing awareness of domestic abuse and support to families affected by domestic abuse.
