First Ever iPhone App for young people about relationships and domestic violence!

Nottinghamshire Domestic Violence Forum (NDVF) have launched the first iPhone App for young people about relationships and domestic violence. Created by NDVF and FlexyWeb (web design agency) the Respect not Fear iPhone and iPod App includes information about healthy and unhealthy relationships, warning signs and support services in a fun, interactive and easy to use way. The Respect not Fear App is a free to download from the App Store.
Nottinghamshire Domestic Violence Forum (NDVF) have also re-launched their Respect not Fear website. www.respectnotfear.co.uk now provides a direct link to the Respect not Fear Facebook page and Youtube account where young people have created a music track and infomercials with positive relationships messages for other young people to hear. www.respectnotfear.co.uk

COUNCIL AWARDED WHITE RIBBON PARTNERSHIP AWARD

A press release from Cheshire West and Cheshire Council reads:

Cheshire West and Chester Council has been awarded the nationally recognised White Ribbon Partnership Award from the White Ribbon Campaign UK for its multi-agency partnership approach to tackling domestic abuse.

Working in partnership with public, private, community, voluntary and faith sectors the award was granted to the authoritys Cheshire West Together project for its approach to increasing awareness of domestic abuse and support to families affected by domestic abuse.
