Donation from First Bus Group

Article from Halifax Courier. Can be seen also at here.

A CAMPAIGN calling for an end to male violence against women has won a £350 donation from First. The Mytholmroyd-based White Ribbon Campaign was given the cash by the bus company’s charity and sponsorship committee. It will be used to buy high-visibility jackets to be worn at community events where the group promotes its message. Mick O’Neill, a bus driver for First, said: “We take safety extremely seriously and so we are proud to help.”

Separate to this article, we are also pleased that many of the drivers have also agreed to do a 'Heels Walk' (walk a mile in her shoes) on 24th November. Thanks to the group and to the brave staff.
