Wyre Forest & Hagley High Schools Pledges

The current “anti-domestic violence” pledge statement educational activity being delivered to Wyre Forest and Hagley High Schools via the ContinU Trust’s Opening Doors Programme in conjunction with West Mercia Police, is promoting the White Ribbon Campaign during November 2011. A display board has been at each pledge activity for pupils to receive general information, advice, support contacts, etc, on the subject. They are hoping to receive over 1,000 pledges from pupils at the end of the activity’s delivery.

COUNCIL AWARDED WHITE RIBBON PARTNERSHIP AWARD

A press release from Cheshire West and Cheshire Council reads:

Cheshire West and Chester Council has been awarded the nationally recognised White Ribbon Partnership Award from the White Ribbon Campaign UK for its multi-agency partnership approach to tackling domestic abuse.

Working in partnership with public, private, community, voluntary and faith sectors the award was granted to the authoritys Cheshire West Together project for its approach to increasing awareness of domestic abuse and support to families affected by domestic abuse.
