Scottish Event - Men invited to curry night to discuss domestic violence

A DRIVE to tackle domestic violence is launching a curry night with former Dunfermline manager Jim Leishman and Scots actor David Hayman to discuss how to change attitudes.

Run by The White Ribbon Campaign, men are invited to attend the meal at the Quay Complex in Musselburgh with the aim of talking publicly about the effects of sexism, attacks on women, and how men can help bring about change.

The event is supported by ITV chief executive Adam Crozier and Charan Gill, owner of the Quay Complex.

Callum Hendry, co-ordinator of the White Ribbon Scotland Campaign, said: "We are hoping as many local men as possible will come dine with us, hear from some well known Scottish personalities and perhaps take the opportunity to share their own thoughts on this important issue."

The curry night is on Thursday, May 19. Tickets cost £15. For further information Tel: (0131) 718 - 6076
