White Ribbon Campaign & Halifax Rugby League Family Fun Day August 10th

Looking for something to do over the summer holidays?

White Ribbon Campaign in partnership with Halifax Rugby League has organised a free Family Fun Day on Wednesday 10th August at Todmorden Sport's Centre. All are welcome, from 10am - 4pm.

Activities include:

  • 10-11am - Rugby League skill classes
  • 11-12am - The New Zealand Haka is outdoors, whilst there are 16 places for Cheerleading indoors.
  • 1-2pm - Ultimate frisbee
  • 2-3pm - Haka (outdoor) and Cheerleading (indoors)
  • 3-4pm - Rugby League Skill Classes

Come and join us for rugby, football, cricket, frisbee, Haka and dance with Halifax Rugby League coaches and player, Frank Watene! And add your handprint to our giant banner to make the promise - 'Todmorden says These Hands are not for Hurting!"

Cheshire West and Chester Council awarded White Ribbon Partnership Award

COUNCIL AWARDED WHITE RIBBON PARTNERSHIP AWARD

A press release from Cheshire West and Cheshire Council reads:

Cheshire West and Chester Council has been awarded the nationally recognised White Ribbon Partnership Award from the White Ribbon Campaign UK for its multi-agency partnership approach to tackling domestic abuse.

Working in partnership with public, private, community, voluntary and faith sectors the award was granted to the authority’s Cheshire West Together project for its approach to increasing awareness of domestic abuse and support to families affected by domestic abuse.
