Leeds - art activity for White Ribbon Day 2011

Leeds City Council Domestic Violence Team are coordinating a collective art project, wrapping trees around Leeds in white ribbon.
Leeds were the first city in England to achieve White Ribbon City status in November 2010. To celebrate their first year, they want everyone in Leeds to know that we are a White Ribbon City and what that means. As we ask men from businesses, clubs, networks and public sector organisations to demonstrate their support for the campaign we will be talking about why we all want to end violence against women.

It is our aim to wrap at least 1,000 trees in Leeds in white ribbon and tell the country and the world why Leeds is a White Ribbon City.
