Personal Development & Counsellor Training
New Course!
NOVEMBER 3RD – DECEMBER 15TH
When: 3 hrs (Thursday evening 6 – 9pm) per week x 7 weeks + 1 Saturday
Where: White Ribbon House, 1 New Road, Mytholmroyd, HX7 5DZ
Next to Mytholmroyd train station (on the Caldervale line
between Halifax and Hebden Bridge), also on several bus routes
How much: £120 (financial assistance may be available, please enquire)

Who for: those working – or want to work - in health, care, social work,
youth/community work, education, voluntary services, industry/commerce,
irrespective of their status within an organisation, and anyone who wants to
develop self-awareness.
What’s needed:
no previous counselling experience is required.
Assessment includes a written assignment as well as skills development
activities.
What’s delivered: as a minimum, this programme develops skills in
interpersonal communication, promotes confidence in dealing with others, and is
an opportunity to enhance your self-awareness.
And then...?: this course may be all you need. You can also progress on to
the ABC Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills and then, to become a qualified
Counsellor, to the ABC Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Theory and Practice.
FACILITATE is an independent training organisation based in Burnley,
established in 2007 to run nationally-recognised qualification courses.
Wayland Gilley is a qualified Person Centred Counsellor and an experienced
counselling trainer at Introduction, Certificate and Diploma level.
Leslie Davidoff is Principal of FACILITATE, a qualified Counsellor, supervisor
and trainer, previously Senior Lecturer in Counselling at Bradford College and
Burnley College.

COUNCIL AWARDED WHITE RIBBON PARTNERSHIP AWARD

A press release from Cheshire West and Cheshire Council reads:

Cheshire West and Chester Council has been awarded the nationally recognised White Ribbon Partnership Award from the White Ribbon Campaign UK for its multi-agency partnership approach to tackling domestic abuse.

Working in partnership with public, private, community, voluntary and faith sectors the award was granted to the authoritys Cheshire West Together project for its approach to increasing awareness of domestic abuse and support to families affected by domestic abuse.
