A quiet holiday month
UNISON order 5,000 badges and commit to being a supporter
UNISON Member Relations Department ordered 5,000 ribbons and asked to be known as an official supporter of White Ribbon Campaign.
At the same time Yorkshire and Humberside UNISON branch donated £200
International Service Human Rights Award
We were asked to nominate an overseas organisation for the International Service Human Rights Award, and nominated the Pakistan White Ribbon Campaign which has undertaken a great deal of work in a country where the condoning of domestic abuse is widespread.

Scotland White Ribbon Blog
This blog was launched. A really interesting read, showing the way to what the White Ribbon England blog should be like. Videos, and referral to lots of interesting blogs. We’ll try and catch up
Speaker requests
These have started to roll in. From the Ministry of Justice, Health Service in Scotland, Domestic Abuse conference in Scotland, and a regional conference of practioners in Grimsby. The autumn looks like being really busy and all the time we thought we would have to develop “strategy” and undertake proactive work seems to be slipping by.
